Happy Monday, friends! I hope you all had a good weekend! I had several shoots this past weekend and can't wait to share them with you soon. But today I'm sharing a newborn session from last month. Baby Jacob was actually six weeks old when we met up for his newborn session. My style of shooting really has no rules about when we need to do a photo session. Sometimes babies sleep and often they don't! My favorite place to "pose" babies is in their parents' arms so I can really do a newborn session at any age!
The morning of our session a ridiculous thunderstorm rolled through and we decided to reschedule for the following weekend. Even though their session was indoors, it was incredibly dark so we'd have to be pressed right up against the windows for most of the session. I normally don't mind shooting close to windows but the lightening that morning was incredible, so we decided to postpone.
The following week we had the most beautiful weather and when I walked into this family's home I couldn't help but smile! They had huge windows everywhere! The baby's room had five or six windows and the master bedroom did too. It really was a photographer's dream. We spent a few hours taking family photos and just letting big brother James kind of run the show. If there is a toddler involved in our photo session, I can tell you that they'll probably be in charge!
After doing family pictures, baby Jacob passed out and we got to do some sleepy baby shots. He was so precious all swaddled up and sound asleep.
I love how their images turned out and hope you'll enjoy seeing some of my favorites!
